Sophie, please share with us how you BE LOVE in the world?

"In a world that seems to be distancing itself from a Be Love mentality more and more everyday with corrupt, power hungry world leaders, genocides happening in our face and a total disregard for Mother Nature and the health of our planet, I hope to not feel jaded or helpless, even when it feels so difficult for one person to make a serious change nowadays. I want to maintain this sense of positivity and light and love for our neighbors, and for everyone, even when they don't share my beliefs. It seems harder lately when our country seems so fractured on so many levels, but that is surely what they want from us right? To feel disconnected and spiteful against anyone that doesn't agree with us, to divide us? So I choose love for everyone, and stand by radical nonviolence, even when it might seem like that is the only answer in some situations. I choose love by being kind to others, first and foremost, and going out of my way to be nice to strangers I meet while out and about. I choose love by feeding the birds in my garden and planting things that feed the monarchs and hummingbirds. I choose love by supporting my local community center and helping them fundraise sponsorships to keep their doors open, so we can all gather as a community there, a place that has brought me so much joy over my life. I choose love by being a good partner to my husband, and by loving myself, as I raise a little human inside my belly. These are all small acts and I wish I could say I was choosing love by protesting the genocide in Gaza everyday, or standing up to corrupt politicians, or organizing beach cleanups (we desperately need them). There is so much more I can and should be doing, that we all should be doing, but for now, at 6 months pregnant, these small acts within my home, garden and community are how I choose love."

Why did you choose the Be Love design you're wearing?

"I chose the 'I Choose Love' tee because I think it's such an important message. It's so easy to choose hate, or ignorance, or indifference nowadays. That is what they want us to choose, and it seems like so many people are choosing hate over love. The message seems so simple and obvious, and yet, it's becoming harder and harder to actually choose love in every situation."
